Montevideo
The Casa provides a unique framework for participation, developing cultural, educational, and social activities such as workshops and gatherings. In this way, spaces for reflection and discussion are promoted around topics such as human rights, memory, diversity, social justice, ecological and environmental awareness, Judaism, Israeli politics, among others, fostering reflection, coexistence, solidarity, and social and cultural integration.
As references of humanist Judaism (where the human and the communal are at the center), we create a space within the Uruguayan Jewish community to celebrate the jaguim (festivals) as a family, as well as other rites of the Jewish life cycle, recovering their communal value and seeking to give them their own meaning from our vision of Judaism.
From the Casa, activism is promoted, while also generating processes of cooperativism, personal fulfillment, reflection, and critical thinking that accompany collective action, encouraging exchange, questioning, and awareness.
