One of our new Houses of Culture is Jevre, located in Mexico City. This Beit Tarbut is part of a broader tradition of Jewish cultural spaces inspired by the idea of Tarbut—"culture" in Hebrew—historically linked to building Jewish identity from an educational, secular, and Zionist perspective. Within this framework, Jevre positions itself as a contemporary space that seeks to build community through action, gathering, and collective construction.
Currently, Jevre promotes Tikun Olam initiatives, developing activities with older adults, holiday celebrations, and youth connection programs that strengthen community bonds and active participation. It is a growing space that is committed to a dynamic kehila, open and engaged with its surroundings.
